Double certified Edo Katana.


Extremely rare and great quality Edo period Katana with Shirasaya and Koshirae both certified.

Antique Edo Katana blade Tsuguhiro signed. Blade and Koshirae (Tsuka, Tsuba, Fuchi/Kashira, Menukis and Saya) with double NBTHK certification (Katana blade and Koshirae). Fine blade with hi or bo'hi large groove.

The Koshirae mounts a very rare Tsuba of the Edo period with a hidden pure gold inlay cross
undoubtedly from a Kakure Kirishitan Samurai

Koshirae - NBTHK (The Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai or Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Sword) certified

Katana blade measures:
-nagasa (linear blade length without Nakago): 67,4 cm.
-sori (blade curvature): 1,8 cm.
-motohaba (initial section height of the blade): 2,9 cm.
-sakihaba (section height in the initiation of Kissaki): 1,9 cm.
